Five days ago I was exploring and I happened upon a shop called Creameria Buonarotti. I immediately loved the atmosphere and so many things about it. I stayed there for hours drawing all of the little desserts decorated with fruit and what have you. I could not help it but I found myself wandering back there each day, listening to conversations in italian, speaking italian with victor as well as watching all the everyday events and movements of the people that come in and out and those that work there. It is a beautiful symphony. Yesterday Francesco a man that works there gave me a huge chocolate dessert as a present and also my cafe was free when I went to go pay. I started to protest but my protest was quenched by Victor's insistence and love. He gave me a kiss on each cheek and sent me off. I felt so loved I could not stop smiling. Then I realized God was showing me love through Victor and the people at Buonarotti. I have been so blessed not only by free food and drinks there but also by their smiles by their kindness and patience. God has shown me so much love today, this week, He is always so faithful. My prayers are answered, in such a way that I could have never dared to ask for or even hope for. Today my friends emily and Alaina went to aperitivo with me at Cheese, afterwards we wandered back to Buonarotti. I walked in and said ciao to Victor and he said in italian we were wondering when you would come he said all day we have said where is samantha. It is such a good feeling to be wanted, missed even. Each one of the people that works ther have such beautiful hearts. I hope that God blesses them so their cups overflow. I asked what the back room was and Victor showed me. He told Emily and I to sit down and asked us what we wanted we said nothing then he asked us what we liked. He said, whisky? and other alcoholic drinks and then he said tea and I said yes I like tea so he brought me a tea and my friend hot chocolate. It made me so happy. I talked to him as I was leaving and he asked if i would come back again tomorrow. I told him I was going to torino and one of the servers, I don't know his name yet, told me to go see the egyptian museum there. Then agian when I went to go pay Victor said everything, my gelato, my tea it was all free. I thanked him again and left.
His heart is so beautiful.
His generosity is unforgettable.
I am starting to see him as a grandfather
who dotes on his beloved granddaughter.
He does not take no for an answer but just asks what I would like
His love is so compassionate and beautiful.
I hope that God blesses him a thousand times upon a thousand
All I could say with the smile on my face as I walked home in the cold was...
Grazie il Dio Grazie Grazie mille. Grazie mio Dio Grazie Grazie mille.
May God bless me so I may bless others.
grazie grazie grazie mio Dio.
Shalom.
