New language lesson

When one learns a new language they also learn something about humanity. It is like starting all over again. When you do this it is a curious thing we start with, our identity. Mi chiamo Samantha. The first verb you usually learn is I am or essere in italian. After your name or identity the next important thing is where you are from. Sono Americana. We didn't start with colors, numbers, and it was only after learning how to say who we are and where we are from that we started learning the alphabet. Identity and Location intertwine more often than we think. I am an american, is this a quality about myself or does it just inform the person I am talking to about where I am from. Does your location help to define your identity and to what extent? Do you have different identities when you are in different locations? Maybe on the flipside do you pick your location as a result of your identity? Its a curious entanglement.
