Sometimes the most beautiful things are not the grand cathedrals towering over you or the world famous works of art but the way time changes a person, a place, an object making the old become something new.

The Cathedral in Bergamo alta.

The winding back streets paved in cobblestone lead to small shops overflowing with pastries, chocolates, and cheese, each one alluring in its own way.

Chocolate comes in the size of bricks here. One square is about 3 inches high and 4 inches long. It was the best chocolate I have ever had and more than I could eat...in one sitting.

Art shops were scattered here and there, even the signs for the shops were works of art in themselves.
